E.l.f Essential Smudge Pots Review + Swatches (pic heavy)

You all know I love E.l.f makeup. I stalk their website to find out about new releases and products. As I've shared with you guys before, E.l.f has added a bunch of new makeup to their lines. a new product to hit their site are these Smudge Pots. These pots cost $2 each and are basically a cream eyeshadow type product. They can be used as bases, eyeshadows, and eyeliners. The E.l.f Cosmetics website lists 9 shades and I have 5 of them. Let's get into what I think of these.
So each shade has a metallic/shimmer finish. But they aren't at all grainy or stiff. The formula is creamy and blendable. The shades I picked are very different from each other in color, I did that to see the difference of the shades. I think it would be nice to add some matte shades like MAC paint pot shades to the line.
These Smudge Pots are housed in a hard glass/plastic jar. Each shade name is on the bottom of each jar.

Brownie Points is a deep copper shade that looks great on my eyes. I love it for an everyday look. I love to use this on my lower lash line as well. |
Poppin Party is very vibrant purple shade. I love the sheen it gives. |
Back to Basics is a gold color. This one looks great paired with Cruisin Chic. |
Cruisin Chic is another one of my favorites. It's a very neutral shimmer shade.

Pearls of Wisdom is a pearly white. It's great to use as a base for powder eyeshadows. |
I usually wear these with a primer, but I think they can be worn without one. I get about 8-9 hours of crease-free wear with these.
Overall, I am in love with these Smudge Pots. I think they can really compete with some of the popular cream eyeshadows on the market, like the Maybelline Color Tattoos, Nars Eye Paints, and Mac Paint Pots. They have great longevity, and have no creasing issues. I would love to see some matte cream shades, and I think that would seal the deal on these!
