Choosing the Right Moisturizer

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Today's post is going to be on choosing the correct moisturizer. Anyone can go into a store and pick up a moisturizer, but is it the correct one for your skin-type? I'm going to give you examples on good moisturizers for your skin type, whether you have oily skin, or dry skin. So if you would like to have a better idea of what moisturizer is best for your skin, keep on reading!
1. Know your skin type
It is important before you buy ANY skin product to know your skin type. Everyone's skin is different and its important to know that.
Common Skin-types include...
- Normal
- Sensitive
- Oily
- Acne
- Wrinkle
- Dry
- Combination
- and so on...
2.Evaluate your skin concerns
Now that you know your skin type, you should target your skin concerns. You may have terrible acne, or just an oily face. When you eventually buy a moisturizer, you want it to help those concerns. For example, Sarah has oily skin and she also has a problem with acne. She goes into Target and buys a moisturizer that targets wrinkles and dry skin. She completely got the wrong moisturizer because she didn't evaluate her skin concerns. I see so many people do this on blogs, and on YouTube; and then complain about something breaking them out.
3.Choosing the Moisturizer
Now that you have completed the above steps, you can purchase a moisturizer.
Remember that different moisturizers do different things. Such as...
- Mattify
- Replenish moisture
- Even out skin tone
- Help with wrinkles
- and so on...
