E.l.f Mineral Lip Glosses Review + Swatches
Wednesday, May 07, 2014
Yes, I have another E.l.f Cosmetics review for you today. 75% of my makeup collection is from E.l.f, I've tried their Essential and Studio line but never their Mineral line. I suppose the Mineral Line is formulated with natural or cleaner ingredients so I recently picked up two of their lip glosses from the mineral line. I got the shades Bare and Wild. Two very different lip glosses in color, but the formulation is exactly the same.
Bare is a nude shade, that is perfect for everyday. This one isn't sticky at all but creamy. I took a photo below to show the little glitters in this one. The glitters aren't overwhelming and in fact, you don't see them at all. This is great against my darker skin and gives my teeth a whiter appearance.
Wild is a really nice bright pink. I was a bit scared to wear this being as it is so bright, but it isn't that opaque. It gives a sheer wash of pink that isn't too bold for everyday. It contains tiny gold shimmers but like Bare, they aren't visible on the lips.
The packaging on these is nice and simple. The housing and cap are both plastic and come with a doe-foot applicator. They resemble MAC's Lipglasses in design and size for reference. The names are clearly stamped onto the bottom of the tube.
I really love these lip glosses, the formulation is great. I love that they aren't sticky and glide on nicely onto the lips. They last a good hour, which isn't anything much to me, because I don't reapplying. They come in about 6 more shades, so you will most likely find the shade you desire.
Price: $3
