Upon first glance at this palette, the average makeup enthusiast can see the resemblance between it and the Urban Decay Naked 1 & 2 Palette. I don't care what Coastal Scents says, this palette was based of those palettes. The UD Naked Palettes cost $52 each. I personally have an issue with paying $50+ for a neural palette. So this palette is a much more realistic buy for most people. 

This palette is housed in sturdy cardboard with a magnetic closure, that makes it great for traveling. The palette does not come with a mirror, which I think would be a great addition. 

The quality of the eyeshadows in this palette varies. It comes with 5 matte, and the rest all shimmer. Some eyeshadows are buttery and smooth, while some have terrible fallout. You definitely need to wear a good primer or base with these. The shades are really nice, but I think that some shades are very similar to one another. I would have liked to see more variety. Also, when I use some of the shadows to create an eye look, the colors blend together (in a bad way), and come off very chalky. The swatches below are without a primer. 

In conclusion, I suggest this palette if $52 for a Naked palette is too much to spend for you. Also this is a great palette for a beginner if you would like to build your collection. A primer or base is a MUST when wearing these, to ensure long wear and best color payoff. A mirror could have been added to make the palette travel friendly, but I love the magnetic closure. I would say this a hit and miss for Coastal Scents.
